Humanity

Something has come over me tonight. Every person that I see I become genuinely interested in, and all I want to do is say hello or even give them a hug. I've always believed that having a big heart for other people has been one of my gifts, however, I don't usually get a feeling this strong. We are such beautiful people. Seriously, try looking at a person and not find ONE great thing about them. I've decided that from now on I will give EVERYONE a chance. I'm not saying that I usually reject or ignore people, but sometimes I just prefer not to talk to somebody. This doesn't mean that I'm going to get involved with anyone I meet, you still have to be wise about what kind of people you surround yourself with. I'm just saying, I'm not going to give my opinion about someone based on their friends, interests, or their style. This sounds like a very easy thing to do, since I'm normally very accepting of people already, but I still feel that a part of me is only drawn to a certain type of people. Another thing, "You must gain love/respect" is probably one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Who are we to say something like that? Daily we are encountered with God's love, the only unconditional and unfailing love in this earth, because he sent his perfect son to die for us. We're not anywhere near to deserving anything and we received it anyway. Let's follow his example and let's be the type of Christians who are known for what we LOVE and what we're FOR instead of what we're against.
